How To Take Care Of Yourself?

How To Take Care Of Yourself?

Spread the love

Today, we will talk about the most important aspect of being a warrior, which is, Taking Care Of Yourself.

A Warm Welcome to all my readers at ‘TheBetterWarrior’.

A Warrior is someone who helps others and helps one’s own self. The Definition states, ‘a brave or an experienced fighter.

I believe we are all warriors in our own stories, in this journey we all share, we are all fighters, and we all are brave warriors in our own right.

Taking Care Of Yourself

This brave new world we have today needs warriors of strong minds and bodies.

A warrior’s journey never stops, a warrior is always on the path of improvement, be it a mental or physical improvement.

And I am well aware, you may already know taking care of yourself is important.

We take care of ourselves to flourish in life, and to keep moving forward.

To fight the hardest of battles, we need to be in good spirits.

Life is exhausting at times so being there for ourselves is the first step to growth. Keep striving because you deserve to be taken care of.

But how do we do that, where to start?

Allow me to help you in a few ways, let’s begin.

 Breathing Exercises,

Breathing is the easiest way to take care of yourself. Our body has a ‘flight or fight response and breathing allows us to hone it for our benefit, to control it to master it.

As a boxer is trained in the ring to control his breathing, we as warriors should practice breathing with focus to become better fighters in our daily life.

So from today, I request you to focus your attention on your breathing.

Taking care of yourself: person meditation - breathing.

Whenever you are worried or anxious, to better help yourself at the moment, try breathing in and out deeply, slowly, for 5 continuous breaths.

Feel Free to Do It as you read it right now and you will find that you feel better already.

A little better than before.

Practice Self-Forgiveness,

We All Make Mistakes, and while it is good to be hard on ourselves, sometimes we are outright brutal.

There were countless times when I was overly hard on myself and we are all sometimes guilty of being brutal.

So the next time, you find yourselves making a mistake – tell yourselves, it’s okay.

You are only human, learn from the mistake and let’s do better next time.

Self-forgiveness is a tricky thing to do, use it as a tool to make your life better.

Let’s not use it as an excuse instead use it to be a better warrior.

The Can-Do Attitude,

Many have said many Motivational quotes, at many seminars, lectures, and youtube videos, and each piece of advice is right to some extent and useful for individuals.

Personally, I assure you the most useful message I ever received was the ‘Can-Do’ attitude.

Easy step, simply say, I can do it and here is the trick – believe you can do it. Never use the word, I can’t, it is time-consuming, and not help much.

If you feel you can’t – breathe, practice self-forgiveness, and affirm, I Can Do It. Be there for yourself, and believe in yourself.

Personal Time,

Now, Now, I am not all working hard and don’t playing, this is what I love the most about taking care of myself – Take Some Personal Time for Yourself.

Do what you want to, Go where you want to, and Do What You Love to do. Of course, keep in mind that you are not hurting yourselves or others while taking some personal time.

A Warrior needs to play as well, after all, we were all children once and playing was and always will be fun. So, be free and enjoy your company.

Life is a gift, remember to have fun!

To Sum It Up,

  • Practice conscious breathing 5-10 breaths
  • Practice Self-Forgiveness, you are only human.
  • Use the ‘I Can Do’ Attitude, and believe in yourself while you do so.
  • Take Some Personal Time, Have Fun, and Do the things you like.

We are warriors, let us practice this and become a warrior little better than yesterday.
