Why Self-Care Is the Secret Key to Improvement?

Spread the love

Let’s break the ice with the question, why self-care is important and how can one achieve improvement through self-care?

In the previous blog post, I highlighted the importance of taking care of yourself – how to?

  • Feel free to check it out if you are curious.

Now coming back to the train of thought, self-care is important because in simple words,

  • if we don’t take care of ourselves first, how can we expect others to take care of us?

Caring for ourselves and using easy self-care tips allows us to believe that,

  • we are worth caring for and that we as individuals are of importance in this tiny blue world.

I started my journey of self-care when I was hurt and in pain,

  • and I realised the pain could easily be overcome by me, at a low point in my life I started my journey of self-care.

And that was the best choice I ever made.

So what changed once I started self-care?

I started feeling important and yes this little thing did change my perspective of how I saw the world.

I realised I had a place in this world, and to whosoever reading this you have a place in this world too.

  • I realised that my opinion mattered and I mattered, things I did.

Yes, it did take time to realise all these beautiful things and it did take more time to improve but that’s the thing,

  • we need to start somewhere, wherever that may be.

Once I started my journey of self-care, my journey of self-improvement took an amazing boost.

I learned many things on my way and it kept me growing, I had more stories to tell and more experiences to share,

  • all because as I started my self-care, I did new things along the way.

Let’s have some Tips for Improvement through Self Care,

Eating Little Healthy,

I know mom’s around the world will be most happy if we do this right.

But what’s more, is that eating a little healthy every day will eventually make you feel good about yourselves because you know somewhere you are making healthy choices.

  • And No, I am not against Pizza, do eat pizza – it’s delicious.

What I am saying is eat pizza on Friday and eat some good carrots for change on Saturday, eat watermelon if you like, or an apple.

  • any fruit you like, go grab it and take a bite, it’s that easy. You got that.

Read a Book,

Reading is a pleasure, a luxury we all need to experience.

  • My personal favourite, and one of the best self-care tips.

Reading helps us to go on a journey into the other world,

  • or if you are not into fiction, it helps to learn about new things, learning new things.
  • gives you a sense of confidence about certain topics, and you know how to hold a conversation.

With each new thing you read, you become more interesting, a little better than yesterday.

For fiction lovers, reading stories and making the world come true in their minds is a pleasure and buying books is another hobby in itself.

For others, reading history, facts, improvement books, and auto-biographies is a pleasure.

One page a day is the trick to start this healthy self-care routine.

Go for a walk,

Walking helps the body to maintain healthy digestion and keeps the blood flowing.

  • Plus, it clears the mind of all the daily commotion.

If You Choose Walking for 5-10 minutes at the start is more than enough to release the healthy chemicals and feel good about yourself.

Walking improves our overall well-being and gives us a feeling of accomplishment.

  • Because – hey it is a form of exercise.

Plus having company while walking helps to build social connections.

  • And if walking alone, gives mental peace in solitude.

In this work-from-home era walking outside may be difficult.

  • worry not, for the time being, walk inside your home for a few minutes.

Remember you matter, so safety first.

  • As the door opens, go out for a walk.

Take a break from electronics,

Give your mind a rest with this self-care tip and look around for a change.

Guilty as charged, I spent a lot of time looking at my phone, from the moment I woke till I go to sleep.

So I figured, let’s take a break, and let me tell you,

  • giving yourself a 30-minute break from technology does feel good.

It Gives time to reflect and this reflection of self helps improve self.

If 30 minutes feel heavy at the start, do it for 10 minutes at least, give those eyes a rest, they work hard along with your brain.
